John Binks On Dragons Den

bbc

John Binks, Managing Director of the patented JVB Finger Placements appeared on Dragons Den last night. We have had a massive success since the TV appearance. Jon did not manage to get the £50,000 he had hoped for as the Dragon's did not feel that they knew enough about musical instruments to carry the product forward. We will give you some some details in the next few days when we catch up with the orders! Speak soon.

The M1X Invests Where Dragons Wouldn't

John Binks, Managing Director of Mirfield based business, JVB Finger Placements, ventured into the Dragons Den to pitch to the panel and persuade them to invest £50,000 in his business. They unfortunately declined, but with the help of the M1X John has developed his business and secured a major distribution contract .

The M1X have conducted a number of photo shoots for JVB’s marketing materials and book covers which have emphasised the innovative nature of JVB’s products and developed a high quality corporate image.

The M1X’s managing director Alexis Bradbury was only too pleased to help John, as he explains; “When John came in to tell us about his idea we were amazed at how simple it was, and could see the potential straight away.

“Obviously we were disappointed for John when the Dragons turned him down, but almost immediately he secured a major distribution contract which bodes very well for the future.”

JVB Finger Placements produce a transparent film which is placed under the strings of a violin or cello, which shows the exact finger patterns for majors and flats. The finger placements come in a variety of key signatures and in three sizes ½ ,¾ and full.

It adheres to itself but not to your instrument and therefore does not damage the neck of the violin or cello. It wipes clean and is fully re-useable. In essence, the JVB Finger Placement is the perfect learning aid for students and music teachers alike.

The learning aids start at an affordable £9.99 and includes a range of co-ordinated books, DVD's and of course the unique finger placements.

Mel Bay sign an exclusive distribution deal with recent TV star JVB Finger Placements.
John Binks, the inventor of the scheme and MD of JVB Finger Placements, recently saw his product in the spotlight as part of BBC 2's popular Dragon's Den programme, which sees budding entrepreneurs attempt to gain funding for their businesses from a panel of expert millionaire businessmen.

The new line is an accelerated learning programme designed to aid beginners as they attempt to get to grips with stringed instruments from the violin through to the guitar. The 'Finger Placements' themselves are transparent films which sit on the neck of the instrument, demonstrating to the student where fingers should be placed
